Kieran, 4yrs 3mths

Kieran will be a kor kor in 12 weeks time. He has progressed so much over the last 6months. Definately more vocal now. He loves his big sister and always look out & look up to her. Hes not ready to continue pre-school in Feb, without his sister who will be in Kindy. Most of his little friends will be in Kindy this year too, so it will be a whole new experience for him.

I am sure he will be fine.

Baby Kieran

This is Kieran when he was 6 months old, sleeping & playing at Aunty Jerlene's house. I really dont remember him being so chubby ... oh my, he had fat thighs too !

Night Fury

Night Fury is a dragon from the movie How To Train A Dragon. Kieran enjoyed the movie & when I saw the jacket, I knew I had to buy it for him.

Easter Show 2010

Sydney Royal Easter Show is a national icon that celebrates all things. Big celebration every easter at the Syd Olympic park. There are rides, games, food, events, fireworks and showbags (must buy!).

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

Kieran just had general anesthesia at KK children's hospital. He had a nasty 4cm cut near his left eyebrow after he tripped & knocked his head against a table.

My clothes was covered with so much blood as we tried to stop the bleeding. We rushed him to A&E and waited for 20 mins to see a doctor.

The wait seemed like eternity.

All I remember is my hands were trembling & I was trying very hard to stay calm when doctor said GA was necessary to stitch up his wound. After the anesthesia was administered, he slowly lost consciousness but his eyes were opened & looking into my direction.

Heartpain is an understatement.

The minor procedure took less than 15 mins & he had 8 stitches. My humpty dumpty regained consciousness shortly after & was back to his normal active self.

Wiggly Party 1

Today, Kieran celebrated his 3rd birthday (way in advance) at The Wiggles Play Centre. We would like to thank all our friends for braving the rain, the chilling weather and the long drive to make this party a very special & memorable one for Kieran.

At 34 months ...

Kieran has morphed into a very vocal & expressive little rascal ! Gone are the days when we were worried about his speech development.

Tasty tomato sauce

Kieran LOVES tomato sauce & cant get enough of it ! We had breakfast at the nearby mall last Sat & all he wanted was toast bread with lots of tomato sauce !!!

After a tasty tomato sauce breakfast, we brought him for a haircut. Sorry nai nai, he needed a trim badly!

Time to recharge ... Passion for puzzles

Once in a while, my battery goes flat & I have no desire to recharge myself.. just want to stay in bed alittle longer or simply watch my kids monkeying around. Maybe because I am always so occupied with the kids, housework & cooking, I allow myself to go to sleep mode when my parents or nainai are here :P

So, my system has been shut down for a good 3 weeks. Its time to recharge !!! Popo will be going home this Wed :(

BUT nainai will be visiting us on the 25th July !!!!

We are so blessed.

Anyway, 2 months ago we bought a 100pcs The World of Cars (disney & pixar) puzzle for Kieran, simply because he loved the packaging so much he didnt want to let go (we must be mad to let a 2.5yrs old fix a 100pcs puzzle !!! ).

The first few attempts, we helped him to sort out similar colours/background & he did the rest. It was a slow & tedious learning process for him but he never give up. This is how much he loves puzzles !

Now I am extremely proud to say Kieran is able to fix this puzzle all by himself :)

Watch him eat

If you have a child who is a fussy eater like my Kieran, then you will understand how stress it is to spend time preparing a meal & desperately trying to get him to take a bite. Even more so after he lost some weight when he was ill last week.

Today I made macaroni bolognese & as I watched him took the first bite, swallowed and then asked for more, I felt like I had just struck lottery !!

So Kieran, now you know one of the ways to my heart is through your tummy !

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .

With some hints from daddy & some help from his big sister, Kieran completed the 60pcs floor puzzle. He was so tired & mentally drained, he plonked onto the bean bag with a sigh of relief !

Hello Nemo

Kieran is feeling under the weather due to the crazy weather. Past few days have been extremely cold & its only AUTUMN !!

I opened a new box of jigsaw puzzle for him & it kept him occupied for a good 4 hrs - fixed, removed, fixed, removed .. countless times !

Money well spent !!!

I am always worried that Kieran is not vocal enough. Sometimes I feel like I am a horrible mom - not teaching enough - when I see other kids of his age singing & speaking alot more. But whenever I see him quietly & patiently doing a puzzle and then fixing it all over again with little or no difficulties, I know he is special in his own little ways.

1) I hope Nai nai doesnt fly down to Sydney to strangle me for chopping off Kieran's hair. I had daddy's permission ok !! Kieran's hair was getting too messy, fuzzy & tangled so I brought him to a hair salon today and ...

2) Been wanting to get a huge bean bag for our living room.. Kayla & Kieran loves to sit on the cushions to watch tv, play or read. Finally saw one I like & along with 2 kids, I lugged home 2 bags of beans & the cover to contain the beans !!

It wasnt an easy task to empty the BIG bags of weightless beans into the cover!
