Dinosaurs

Lately, my kids are fascinated about dinosaurs because their friend, Owen, is a big fan of them. To me, they are simply giantic lizards - ugly, scary & uninteresting at all !! But still, yesterday we brought the kids to the Dinosuars exhibition at the Australian Museum.



Daddy loved playmobil when he was a kid. I only know its a beautiful quality toy with a high price tag ! When we saw this dinosaur set at the museum shop, we knew it would be a perfect gift for Kieran's birthday:

Time to recharge ... Passion for puzzles

Once in a while, my battery goes flat & I have no desire to recharge myself.. just want to stay in bed alittle longer or simply watch my kids monkeying around. Maybe because I am always so occupied with the kids, housework & cooking, I allow myself to go to sleep mode when my parents or nainai are here :P

So, my system has been shut down for a good 3 weeks. Its time to recharge !!! Popo will be going home this Wed :(

BUT nainai will be visiting us on the 25th July !!!!

We are so blessed.

Anyway, 2 months ago we bought a 100pcs The World of Cars (disney & pixar) puzzle for Kieran, simply because he loved the packaging so much he didnt want to let go (we must be mad to let a 2.5yrs old fix a 100pcs puzzle !!! ).

The first few attempts, we helped him to sort out similar colours/background & he did the rest. It was a slow & tedious learning process for him but he never give up. This is how much he loves puzzles !

Now I am extremely proud to say Kieran is able to fix this puzzle all by himself :)

At the park

Today is a public holiday & the weather was good so we brought the kids to the park, together with The Ngs & Jennifer's family. Our initial plan was to go Bicentennial park but it was so so crowded !! We ended up at the small park just behind our home.

With some hints from daddy & some help from his big sister, Kieran completed the 60pcs floor puzzle. He was so tired & mentally drained, he plonked onto the bean bag with a sigh of relief !

Hello Nemo

Kieran is feeling under the weather due to the crazy weather. Past few days have been extremely cold & its only AUTUMN !!

I opened a new box of jigsaw puzzle for him & it kept him occupied for a good 4 hrs - fixed, removed, fixed, removed .. countless times !

Money well spent !!!

Picnic day

Kayla, Kieran & I had a long day today. We went for a picnic.

I made sandwiches, packed some biscuits, water, toys & brought along a chinese story book. We put everything, including a big blankie, into a bag and off we went. We walked one round & Kayla decided to stop there to have our picnic.

I lay out the blanket, emptied the bag of food & toys and we had an enjoyable time eating, talking & reading a book.

Another very backdated post. 2 weeks ago daddy bought a Bazoongi Kids play tent so that the kids will stop using our pillows, comforter and cushions as part of their pretend play ! Well, it didnt work but the kids are happy playing (and/or fighting) in it.

New activities

The kids were getting alittle restless & bored of the routine. Then I remember one of the fine motor activites Kayla learnt at Tumble Tots: picking and sorting out different beans. It was an easy task for jiejie but she enjoyed it anyway.

Perhaps I should start exploring different fine motor skills activities and introduce them to Kieran.




I bought this Felt Farm, consists of assortment of felt shapes/ animals and 2x scene boards, for them to create lots of fun farm scenes.

Playgroup @ Rachel's

Aunty Rachel invited us to her place for breakfast. Aunty Valerie & little Zac were there too. Its a pity we cant organise such gatherings on a weekly basis due to different schedules.

Long summer evening

During summer, the sun sets at about 8.30pm. After dinner, we brought the kids to the outdoor playground just opposite our apartment. It was quite cooling today & it felt like autum already !!

It was a beautiful day to cycle. Kayla was able to pedal faster this time & we reached our "destination" in no time.
