Bubbles

The weather is terrible.. sometimes hot; sometimes cold. Night time is always cold. Both my kiddos are down with a cold & they were very moody, so daddy bought a bubble machine that generate lots of bubbles! Save us lots of puffs!!

Friday 26th Sept

How time flies.. gong2 flew back to Sg this afternoon. He is my pillar of strength and I will miss his presence, laughter & snoring!

Last night, Uncle lee & family treated us to a sumptuous vietnamese dinner at Sylvia's parents' restaurant. Her parents are extremely nice & warm !

From left: Ki-ren, Sylvia, Uncle lee, daddy, mummy me, gong2 & popo2.

Before sending gong2 to the airport, we stopped by Sydney Olympic park.

The metal columns (behind Kieran) engraved the names of all the athletes who participated in the Olympic.

Rolling good times!

Some random photos of my Ks playing together & making a mess!!

Taronga Zoo

We took a 20mins ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo wharf. On the way, we saw the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The view was BEAUTIFUL.

I want to eat ...

hokkein mee, fried kway tiao, fried carrot cake, laksa & ba chor mee!!!

I cant eat anymore burgers, pizzas/pasta or crepes! The smell & sight of them makes me nausea!! So with the help of my new friend, Rachel, we went to the Eastwood suburb to buy groceries- pork, vegetables, fruits, beef and some fish for my kiddos (who will be arriving tonight! Woo hoo!).

Oh yes, we've moved into our lovely home on Wednesday (17/9) and also got our car on that day too! Very tired but happy.. finally we felt more settled down.

I must admit that last 10 days have been crazy and emotionally draining. Stranded in a totally new environment, I felt so lost. Now that I have the car & my precious GPS, it will be alot easier to move around.

Rachel & Sweefong: Really appreciate all the help & concern! :)

Restless

I miss my kids.

Past few days & today, I was busy shopping for our home & waiting for deliveries. Very tiring & unsettling. We cant move in yet because our beds havent arrived and there is no TV & internet! We're extremely grateful to Uncle lee, Ki-ren & Sylvia for their help & concern. They have been very patient esp. with mummy me who is always asking funny questions!!

From the courtyard, daddy took a photo of the sunset. It made me miss home.

Sylvia's 21st birthday on the 11th Sept. Got for her a big champagne glass with the no. 21 on it.

Ear holes

I found out today that kayla had her ears pierced and the amazing thing was she didnt cry or make a sound !! Wish I was there to witness :(

Shopping spree

Shopped for washing machine, fridge, vacuum cleaner & misc. stuff today. Every Thursday the shops close at 9pm so after dinner, we went to buy our beds and more misc. stuff !! Very precious shopping time!

Our biggest steal is the Dyson vacuum cleaner strongly recommended by our relative. As the house is 90% carpeted, I feel its necessary to invest in a good vacuum that picks up dirt, dust & hair easily... then mummy can divert more time & energy on the kids :p

Mary St.

Got the keys to our house today! Daddy & I settled the house, the car, misc. stuff within 2 days. We wanted to settle as many things as possible before daddy starts work (which is today). It was crazy man. Now mummy me needs to shop for beds, kitchenwares & electrical appliances before we move in.

a gift from Aunty Tammy.

To the left of the (open concept) kitchen will be our dining table and a full length window that looks out to the courtyard (See pic. below):

The back gate.

Walk in wardrobe in the main bedroom.

Bathroom.

Will take more pictures when the house is furnished :)

Miss the food; Miss the sun

Just 4 days into my new environment, I am starting to miss Mr Sun & hawker food! Spicy food especially!! I need to get used to eating my Macdonalds/KFC without chilli sauce (cuz they dont serve any!) or eating non-spicy tom yam noodles!!

I MISS SPICY FOOD.

So when I found this at the supermarket yesterday, I was overjoyed!!!

Nissin cup noodles!! I feel so close to home!

It has been really cold esp. at night. I used to enjoy a long nice bath, now I dread going to the bathroom! Even though the windows are closed and the heater is on...
its still !!!

I MISS THE SUN.

Greetings from Sydney

Winter seems longer & colder here in Sydney.

The day we arrived (7th Sept Sun), the temperature was at 10 degrees. We were stuck inside the airport for 2hours, waiting for our luggages and Q-ing to clear customs! The moment we reached Uncle lee's place, we knocked out immediately! So tired after 7 hours of night flight!!

We woke up really early today.. alot of things needed to be settled. The No.1 thing in our list was to confirm our unit so we called the real estate agent in the morning. He told us all the units were taken!! That really affected our mood! We started to panic!! Luckily, there are a few agents in the area so we managed to secure one unit at the ground level, with a huge courtyard and its facing the park & river. Daddy is very pleased because he likes town houses and our unit "feels" like one ha ha! I like the courtyard & I am sure my kids will love the big space.

Daddy's cousin's bday!

Take care people! I am well & happy :)

Leaving on a jet plane

Getting the jitters & alittle emotional... have packed our luggages (hope they are not over-weight!) & we are ready to leave.

Took some photos of our 1st home...

Mummy me painstakingly completed the 2500pcs puzzles for the dining & kids room.

Our living room

Master bedroom

Imagine this room was 5x messier! Daddy spent most of his time here, working & playing games.

My favourite corner in the kids room. All the 4 walls decorated by mummy me.

Very clean kitchen cuz I seldom cook! Ha! Ha! It will be a different story in Australia *Bless me!*

It has been a hectic, tiring & emotionally draining week! While I look forward to the new life in Sydney, part of me cannot bear to let go of our beautiful home. I almost couldnt hold back my tears when the buyer said "yes" & signed on the contract. For sure, it wasnt tears of joy.

2 more sleeps and I will be on my way to Australia.

7 cartons to be shipped by Fedex express. Mostly clothes, kitchen wares, computers and more (BIG) toys!! Packed by Richard & Wendy Pte. Ltd !
