Koala in our house

and resting on a "branch" !!!

Officially a TERRIBLE TWOS

1st day at pre-school

Today Kayla started her once weekly pre-school, from 9am- 3pm. Just 10 mins slow walk from our home.

People tell me its usually the moms who experience seperation anxiety more than the kids.. how true !! But I am also very relieved she loves the school & very eager to ask questions. MANY many questions in fact ! Aiyo.

Thats Kayla looking at the camera. Waiting for their morning tea to be served.

Big classroom & I love the big outdoor space.

Kayla was so tired (from talking I guess !!) she knocked out when she reached home !!!

Firestation in our house

Another very backdated post. 2 weeks ago daddy bought a Bazoongi Kids play tent so that the kids will stop using our pillows, comforter and cushions as part of their pretend play ! Well, it didnt work but the kids are happy playing (and/or fighting) in it.

Crazy week

I wonder where my inspiration for blogging has gone to ...

Anyway, last wednesday was St. Ambrose kindergarten open classrooms. I left Kieran with his jiujiu & brought Kayla to her future school.

I felt really weird because we were the only asian visitors ! When I was checking out the kindy classrooms, I spotted another asian girl & her mother across the room & it felt as though we've known each other for 500 years !!! Felt so relieved. Ha ha!

Kayla & I like the school & hopefully she gets accepted.

Ok, what has Kieran been up to? He has been going thru potty training for the last 2 days and it was a complete failure. Every time I bring him to the toilet, he would say, "done" after 5 secs and struggled to get out. Every hour was agonizing for him, for me.

Today I went for mani & pedicure. Very satisfied !!

Baby baby

Conceiving is a tough, painful & frustrating journey for some. When my cousin, Sheila, told me about her good news today, I teared up with joy. I am very happy for her !!

Stick-on labels

I like to "window shop" online, even more so now. My friend recommended me some great sites for special offers & discount codes !!

Last week I ordered stick-on labels (school value kit) for Kayla who will be starting pre-school on the 30th March. There are 200 labels of various sizes (includes labels for shoes and iron-on for clothes). Do I really need so many?? I thought. So instead of "Kayla Low" , I had them printed as "K. Low" . Now Kieran can use the labels too !!! Clever or not ?? Ha ha ha!

Terrible Twos !

Terrible twos or some experts call it "The First Adolescence"- is a difficult phase for parents !

I feel very guilty. I have been very relax with the kids since we shifted to our new place. When gong2 & popo came over, I took the opportunity to shake leg, sleep & shop. Yesterday it was so difficult to get back into routine until I had a headache ! Today, I lugged 2 kids to see three pre-schools for Kayla. Tough job because my "terrible twos" was VERY uncooperative - in short, he did exactly the opposite of what I wanted !

Dinner time he had a few spoonfuls and happily hid behind the canopy!

God, please help !!!

Yesterday we drove abt an 1hr to Blue Mountains Scenic World, where we experienced the world renowned heritage national park, breathtaking scenery, rainforests & deep valleys by railway, cableway, skyway and walkway !!

Waiting to hop onto the world's steepest incline railway! Behind us is the famous rock formation THE THREE SISTERS.

All ready to experience the scenic railway.

Kindermusik week 5

Today was their 5th music lesson and they enjoyed all the classes so far. Repetition is an extremely impt learning tool & thats why the teacher repeats & repeats... until daddy & I couldnt stop yawning !! wa ha ha ha !!!

There were 3 other students in class. Kieran sat comfortably on the teacher's lap during story time.

Blissful

I am enjoying every moment with my parents.

I have been catching up with my beauty sleep (wahahaha!); went for mani/pedi; watched movie and shop till I couldnt walk anymore (shopping therapy!!). Yesterday we went to Macquarie shopping centre and bought some winter clothings for the kids and for myself.

A big THANK YOU

My parents arrived today, with a big luggage of dried food, books & kitchen accessories.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to the following people for their help:

Cousin Jan: I asked for 2, but you got me 5 drawing books & a CD!! Will trf to your a/c soon :)
Ching: PD Ong's magic medicines & thanks for the special delivery!
Eleanor: Medicine & bib.. and also all the motivating emails!
Tona: Bento tools.. thanks for your precious time in sourcing the items.
Jerlene: Thank you for all the "FREE ITEMS" I found inside the minibe bag :)

And lastly, to popo & gong2 for lugging all the goodies from Sg to Sydney. When they left for the 1st time in Oct, I didnt shed a tear because I was excited about my new life. I still am.. but now that I have experienced my most helpless; tiring & lonely days.. it will be really difficult for me to say goodbye to them when they return to Sg in 2 weeks time.
